Application 1: Driving an LED Using RIU Digital Outputs

Note: Applies to RIU versions A and B (indicated by part number: RIU-x-A, RIU-x-B, C21x-A, C21x-B) only.
Notes
  1. Circuit depicted is for RIU with 4-channel option. For standard 2-channel RIU, DO2 and DO3 are not active.
  2. Current through each DO circuit must not exceed 50 mA. Customer must select R(lim) and LED accordingly. Assume RIU DO circuit internal resistance of 5 ohms referenced to power return.
  3. Distribution of voltage is application-specific, and is provided by the customer.
