What's New
- Voisus web interface: adds the System Services page, which shows the status of all ASTi services and lets users view and download service logs for troubleshooting.
- Voisus web interface: adds a Crypso Sounds tab to the comm plan so users can build custom crypto sound groups from existing playsounds and assign them to cryptos for different radio types.
- Voisus Client and Simscribe: adds support for Virtual Battlespace 4 (VBS4).
- Voisus Client for Tablets & Desktops: adds a Radio Time setting that hides or shows the time display on radio skins, such as the PRC-163, PRC-167, and PRC-355.
Improvements
- Voisus Client: uses randomly generated connection IDs to prevent conflicts when multiple applications connect to the server.
- Voisus web interface: adds Voisus 8.12.0 documentation to the product.
Fixes
- Flex Client: prevents the application from freezing on the “Connected. No Role Set” screen after a scenario restart.
- Earshot: fixes an issue where audio grew louder and more distorted each time users restarted Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE) playback.
- Voisus server: fixes an issue that prevented users from creating multiple input-only Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) endpoints with the same remote IP address.
- Voisus Client: fixes issues that prevented press-to-talk (PTT) from working correctly when users connect multiple Plantronics PTT headset adapters to the same system.
- Voisus Client for Tablets & Desktops: restores the Earphone Volume Test button.
- Voisus Client for Tablets & Desktops: fixes an issue where the Close, Minimize, and Settings buttons didn't respond for some Windows users.
- Earshot: fixes an issue where users couldn't select a newly uploaded sound file on Custom Mappings without refreshing the page.
- Voisus Client: fixes an issue where roles didn't appear in the Role dropdown list after a server reboot until users restarted the application.
- Voisus web interface: shows the correct message when the system logs users out for inactivity with account security enabled, instead of reporting an expired password.
- Fixes other small bugs.
