There are two available configurations of Digital Input Module/Card indicated by the Module/Card part number:

Consult the system configuration drawing provided with your DACS to determine the part number of your Digital Input Module/Card.
Type I configurations require an external pull up resistor as shown in the first diagram below. No external input voltage is applied to pins 17, 18, 36, and 37.
