With the recent Telestra 8.0.0 release, ASTi transitioned from Acapela, a third-party text-to-speech (TTS) service, to a new TTS engine and voice library. As a result, you may notice that your TTS voices sound slightly different in Telestra 8.X. If you currently use Acapela with Telestra 7.X and earlier, you might want to update the voice mappings in your application's host code when you upgrade.
The following table defines Acapela/Telestra voice mappings in Telestra 8.X:

If you don't specify any voices in your host code, Telestra uses “Kerrenton'' as the default. ASTi recommends predefining selections to avoid surprises caused by legacy mappings.
