Telestra Data Sheet

ASTi's Telestra suite of products provides comprehensive sound and communications simulation software and equipment. ACE Target software installed on an embedded, real-time platform called the Target hosts all of the model data and system configurations. ACE Studio software, a powerful suite of software applications, allows you to manipulate projects installed on the Target.

Software Overview

The Telestra Target is an embedded, real-time sound and communications modeling platform with ACE software, running on multiple network devices providing high-fidelity radio and communications and environmental cue modeling applications. The Target also runs the Remote Management System (RMS) for headless setup and management.

The Target connects to ASTi's flexible, network-based ACENet architecture and remotely distributed ACENet audio interfaces (e.g., ACU2, ACE-RIU) which provide a high-fidelity, scalable, digital audio and I/O distribution network for remote connection of operator headsets, microphone, speakers, live radios, hand-held terminals, control panels, and other peripheral devices. For more information about the Target, go to the Telestra Target Operations & Maintenance Manual.

ACE Studio is a suite of software tools incorporating sound and communications model development, project management, communications monitoring and fault analysis, and equipment status and configuration. ACE Studio software provides remote access to all networked simulation models and equipment from a single development workstation.

The Studio is available on an ASTi Telestra platform with a removable hard drive or as a virtual machine on a customer-furnished computer. For more information about the Studio, go to the ACE Studio Technical User Guide.

The following table shows ACE OS, software, and security software versions:

Operating System RHEL 7.x1
Software Version 7.x.y (e.g. 7.1.0)1
Security Software Version 2.x.y (e.g. 2.2.0)1

1 Specific version based on customer deliverable(s).

Hardware Overview

ASTi's Target consists of a high-perfomance, network-scalable, Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® (RHEL)-based hardware platform. The Target runs as an embedded, real-time platform, providing high-fidelity radio and communications and environmental cue modeling using ACE Software.

For more information, go to the Target Operation and Maintenance Manual.
