What's New
- Voisus server: adds support for the ASTI-SRV chassis configuration.
- Voisus server: adds a terminal command called ams-user show {username} that returns a web account's last login, password age, and expiration date.
- Remote radio control: adds support for the PRC-167 and PRC-160 radios.
- Voisus web interface: on Scenarios, adds a Flex Client scenario template that includes simulated radios, radio bridges, intercoms, calling, and chat.
- Voisus: adds support for Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), implementing standard messages that identify, set up, and play Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) streams.
Enhancements
- Voisus web interface: streamlines load-balancing for multiserver clouds with five or more servers; improves visibility of load-balanced clients on Monitor > Cloud.
- Voisus web interface: removes Stream API from Manage > Features.
- Radio Bridge: when Radio Bridge Security Levels is enabled, Flex Layouts display security levels with names, priority numbers, and colors; additionally, Radio Bridges can now choose and monitor a remote control instance and monitor its security state, disabling if insecure.
- Earshot: enables users to search for specific entries on Custom Mappings, improving usability.
- Flex Client: RADIO PLUS tiles now display a generic radio's frequency and net.
- Voisus Client: always displays the desktop client's name.
- Voisus Client: adds keyboard shortcuts for Scroll Lock, Page Up, and Page Down; users can now configure custom keyboard shortcuts on Settings > Transmit.
- Voisus: updates documentation for the Voisus 8.3.0 release.
Fixes
- Voisus server: fixes an issue causing frequent error logs related to Radio Monitor publications.
- Voisus server: prevents truncated messages from causing errors in the web interface and clients.
- Voisus web interface: ensures Monitor Clients displays the correct role for all connected clients.
- Voisus web interface: configures a default Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) exercise in the Empty Scenario template, preventing client connection problems.
- Voisus web interface: prevents Voisus from assigning duplicate radio IDs to jammers when users set DIS parameters in the client, avoiding server communication issues.
- Voisus Client: prevents clients from repeatedly attempting to connect to the server when the scenario is set to block unlisted clients.
- Fixes other small bugs.
